Paul has been requesting Roll Kuchen (a Mennonite "rolled cookie" that is fried) from Grandpa Krause for some time now. Today, Paul got his wish. Grandpa Krause and Aunt Carol made up some beautiful golden roll kuchen, served with watermelon. Some ate theirs plain, others with honey, syrop, or jam. Whichever way you serve them up, they're delicious!

Hey guys, It's so good to read about all your adventures so far! The pictures are great, they bring back great memories. Loved the pictures of your new nephew, he's so cute! We became auntie and uncle Aug 1, he's such a sweet heart, he will be a great cousin to play with Caleb. Andy's other sister got married Aug 6 , the family is just exploding! Caleb is just growin' like a weed, everyday is so much fun. He wrestles with daddy when he gets home, sits up like a big boy and giggles like crazy when the cat sits on his lap. Well take care of each other, its so cool to see you guys over there now, after all the dreaming and praying and planing. Anyone that knows you can see Gods perfect plan in bringing you together and you following his direction so willingly. You guys have come so far from that funny Mexican potluck in Cory's basement. Well, wishing you lots of love, we will be praying for you guys! Stephanie Andy & Caleb P.S. Thank you so much Heidi for those underthings, they are just perfect, even at the shoulder for when Caleb wants a snack!
Did you take that photo?
If so, do you mind if I use it? Although I have not mastered the technique for twisting the roll kuchen dough, my grandmother did. I am writing a family history book for my family. It will not be sold commercially, just printed for family. I would love to show how they should look.
Thanks for considering!
