the tummy

My sister-in-law Courtney has been asking for pictures of my tummy for quite some time now, so here is the first one, taken a few weeks ago. It's grown lots in the past 2 weeks, so we'll have to get snapping with the camera again very soon. Also, Thursday I felt the baby move for the first time!!! Very exciting. For me, it felt like small muscle twitches in my tummy. Paul and I went for our ultrasound on Friday and saw the first pictures of our baby. It nodded it's head and was opening and closing it's mouth. Also had it's legs crossed at the ankles. Already very refined in manners! We are moving into our new condo this weekend, and will try to post some photos of that too. We're having a busy week!!!

heartbeat

I heard our baby's fast little heartbeat for the first time today at my doctor's visit! Hearing that little sound made the fact that we're going to have a baby all the more real. Yikes! and Hooray!!!
