Fix-up Friday

This morning I was inspired to tidy up one spot of the house - just this one little spot. (I have been inspired by another blog, and the author does Makeover Mondays - I just couldn't wait till Monday!) Some days, I need to pick something small to do, to feel some sense of accomplishment. This little counter space is a catch-all for papers, keys, sunglasses, passports, and everything else that finds itself misplaced. Please, please tell me there are other out there people who have spots like this in their home. And this spot doesn't just need a one-time clean up either - it's a chronic problem. But for now, for today, it's tidy. For me, a person prone to feeling anxious and overwhelmed, messiness just perpetuates those feelings. But making just this one space clean and organized brings a sense of peace and calm, for the moment.

Afternoon Tea Party

It's been ages and ages since I posted a blog. But I couldn't resist putting up these photos of the girls enjoying an afternoon tea party yesterday afternoon. It's fun that we're able to do things like this now that they are both getting older. I found the tea cups and little teapot at MCC yesterday morning - we were in need of some supplies, as my girls are serious little tea drinkers!
